Hii, I want to know the difference between 13C edited and 13C resolved NOESY and also tell me about the application of these different NOESSY..

13C resolved NOESY is a 3D NMR experiment that provides information regarding chemical shifts of pairs of protons that are close enough to exhibit an NOe, as well as the chemical shift of the carbon to which one member of this pair interacts via a J coupling. One dimension specifies the chemical shift of the J-coupled 13C, one dimension specifies the chemical shift of the J-coupled 1H and the remaining dimension specifies the chemical shift of the neighboring 1H.

13C edited NOESY implies a NOESY experiment with selection for cross-peaks, where at least one member of the pair contributing to the cross-peak has a J coupling to a 13C nucleus. Generally, 13C edited NOESY is used to refer to a 2D NOESY experiment, where the F2 and F1 dimensions are used to specify 1H chemical shifts of pairs of protons that exhibit Noe, with selection for J coupling of 1H to 13C. The 'selection/editing' can be carried out in any one of the two dimensions or, in both dimensions if selection is desired for coupling to 13C for each member of the pair that contributes to the cross-peak.

Complimentary experiments, such as 13C filtered NOESY are used for removal of cross-peaks, based on presence of J coupling to 13C.
