Hi, I would like to run some 19F NOESY, and 19F-1H correlation experiments on a totally fluorinated sample (no H) with a BBFO probe. Any advices? Should I take the standart proton expt and change nuclei and pulse length and power to 19F, with correct routing, or is it more difficult than this? Has anyone some advice? Thanks! Hello, quite easy, do first a standard 19F. After this start a standard NOESY experiment, change the nucleus to 19F, set then the required SW and O1P. getprosol rga zg If there are no signals, ... check the ROESY instead - there is with NOESY some problems if the molecular weight matches the zero transfer! But there is also a special Parameter-Setup by Bruker for HOESY!!! This is the hetero version of NOESY/ROESY! Proton to Fluorine/Carbon ... What do you like???? I'm not quite familiar with 19F experiments, buf if I recall correctly there is some switching unit in case of 19F. I think that simply changing nucleus from 1H to 19F isn't enough. I would prefer doing the same as Ulrich stated: run a regular 1D 19F experiment and change the pulse program to the one of interest, like noesyph, noesygp. Running heteronuclear, load the experiment, e.g. HSQCETGP and change the 1H into 19F. Be aware to update your gradient strengths since the are different for 1H and 19F.
