I don't see the tool to comment on an answer. Where is it and how is it used? asked Aug 19 '10 at 09:23 |
Hi Jerry, thanks for jumping in. This forum uses "karma system" to attempt moderate itself. User karma is generated by votes, the higher is karma the more functions (including moderation functions) users can access. By default there was a 50 point threshold to comment anywhere (now lowered to 1 point). However anyone can comment own posts and answers to own questions. Now since this setting is lower it is not relevant. Also the forum is kind of like a wiki - that users with high karma or admins can edit other's posts, owners can always edit their own posts. I'm in fact going to add "meta" tag to your question, since it's kind of a meta question - about the site itself, not about NMR or EPR. Thanks again! answered Aug 19 '10 at 09:43 Evgeny Fadeev |
Jerry, do you see it now? I've lowered the "karma" threshold to comment. It used to be 50 points. - Evgeny Fadeev (Aug 19 '10 at 09:30)
